“I initially joined the Creative Digital Media course to learn 3D computer graphics and image editing, but in this course I learned a wide variety of skills such as coding, video editing, VFX and sound production, all of which I have been able to apply to my work and take it to the next level. This course far exceeded my expectations and I learned a great deal more than I initially thought I would. Learning to use high quality equipment and industry standard software was something I found particularly useful, as well as receiving constructive feedback on my work. When I first started this course I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do once I graduated, but after two years in Douglas Street Campus I found that animation is my passion and I am now pursuing a career in film animation.
The atmosphere of the course and the college as a whole was always fun and positive, the tutors and staff were all incredibly kind and supportive and the experience I had in this course gave me the confidence I needed to apply for the BA in Creative Digital Media in MTU Cork. After finishing Level 6, I got a place in second year in BA Creative Digital Media through CCPS links between Creative Digital Media in Douglas Street Campus and MTU. Doing this course has changed my life completely.”
