INTRODUCTION:
Our Fundamental Awareness course, provides a comprehensive is an introduction to the principles NZEB. The course takes one day to complete and provides the fundamentals to progress to further NZEB training.
COURSE CONTENT:
- NZEB principles:
Basic understanding of NZEB Principles. - Building Physics:
Basic understanding of Building Physics. - Building Fabric:
Basic understanding of Building Fabric – Continuous Insulation, Thermal Bridging, Air Permeability, Windows and Doors. - Building Services:
Basic understanding of Building Services – Space heating and Domestic Hot Water, Controlled Ventilation, Lighting, ICT and Smart Technology. - Renewable Energy, Photo-Voltaic, Smart Metering and Electric:
Basic understanding of Renewable Energy, Photo-Voltaic, Smart Metering and Electric Vehicles. - Communication and User Information:
Understand the required knowledge for Communication and Best Practice User Information.
COURSE DELIVERY:
This course is delivered on site in Cork College of FET, Bishopstown Campus.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Those from outside the EEA or Common Travel Area must provide evidence of Stamp Four status to undertake this course.
