Jewellery Making (Beginners):
This is a proper introduction to the jewellery trade where all the basic skills are taught. These include:

- Hammering
- Stone setting & polishing

Stained Glass (Beginners):
This is a beginner’s course. Participants will learn to make their own traditional leaded stained-glass panel. This will include learning how to design the panel and the techniques of cutting glass, leading and soldering. The costs of materials are included, and each participant will create their own original piece of work as well as learning more about the history and diversity of stained glass in Ireland.

Stained Glassed (Advanced):
This course is for students who have attended the beginner’s class or have had previous experience of working with stained glass.
It will enable the students to expand their skills by completing more advanced leaded glass projects. This will include techniques for painting on the glass, the construction of light boxes and other display methods and practical design work for interior or exterior decorative projects.
Glass paints and tools will be provided, and students will be guided in the purchasing of the appropriate glass and lead for their specific projects.

Upholstery (Beginners):
During the duration of this course, you will learn the following:
- Introduction to materials you need: Choosing the type of fabric you require for your piece of furniture.
- Working with tools / health & safety: Learning about the tools you need and how to use them safety.
- Selecting fabrics: Learning about the different fabric types that are most appropriate for a given purpose.
- Working with sewing machines: Learning the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine.
- Hand Stitching: Learning about different hand stitching techniques.
- Project: Upholstering a small piece of furniture (this piece of furniture you choose must be able to fit into your car).

Bicycle Maintenance & Repairs:
Bicycle Repair and Maintenance, teaches you how to keep your bicycle in perfect working order, covering cleaning your bicycle, puncture repair, brake alignment and maintenance, gear indexing, cable replacement, and drive chain maintenance.
Course includes:
- Parts of the bicycle
- ABCD check (air, brakes, chain, drop) getting on the road
- Puncture repair
- Regular maintenance and cleaning
- Fitting wheels
- Specialised tools and how to use them
- Workshop safety
- Fitting brake pads and cables and checking for wear
- Chains and drive chain; checking for wear and fitting a new chain
- What different sounds mean
- Wear and damage to cogs, etc.
- Gear adjustment, replacing freewheels and cassettes
