INTRODUCTION:
This course is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Laboratory Science.
Students can apply to higher education institutions and can also be admitted to Institutes of Technology and University College Cork on a competitive basis.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- Leaving Certificate (LC Established, LCVP or LCA) or equivalent.
- For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
DURATION:
This is a one-year full-time course.

- QQI Laboratory Techniques – Level 5 (5M3807).

WORK PLACEMENT / EXPERIENCE:
Participants will be required to undertake 10 days of work placement in a relevant location. The college will assist participants in identifying suitable placements.
