INTRODUCTION:

The course will provide students with an opportunity to compile a portfolio as part of their application for 3rd level studies in architecture to those colleges that have a portfolio requirement (e.g. TU Dublin or Queen’s University Belfast or University of Ulster Belfast).

Develop key skills for further studies in architecture at 3rd level an opportunity to focus on subject areas that are relevant to the field of architecture thus enabling them to make an informed choice.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Leaving Certificate (LC Established, LCVP or LCA) or equivalent.

  • For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

  • All applicants are interviewed. A portfolio is not required but applicants will be asked to show five examples of their own creative work.

DURATION:

This is a one-year full-time course.

PORTFOLIO PREPARATION:

Students compile a portfolio as part of their application for 3rd level studies in architecture to those colleges that have a portfolio requirement (e.g. TU Dublin or Queen’s University Belfast or University of Ulster Belfast).

ASSESSMENT:

  • 60% Portfolio of Work

  • 40% Project Work

FEES:

€50 Registration Fee.
