Accelerate your career with our QQI Level 5 Certificate in Reception and Frontline Office Skills. This course is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel as a receptionist or frontline office representative in any organisation.

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Receptionist Skills:
    Examine the skills, functions, and responsibilities of a receptionist, ensuring you can effectively represent your organization.
  • Telephone Communication:
    Explain a range of telephone communication terms.
  • Health and Safety:
    Outline safety and health at work legislation relevant to reception, including security and emergency procedures.
  • Information Flow:
    Identify the process for the flow of information within an organisation.
  • Reception Layout:
    Plan a reception layout and describe the office equipment used in the reception area.
  • Communication Skills:
    Apply a range of communication skills, including personal, interpersonal, and technological proficiencies.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operate various reception area equipment, such as telecommunications systems, intercoms, and electronic diaries.
  • Document Presentation:
    Present a range of documents, including order forms and invoices.
  • Administrative Skills:
    Apply general administrative skills, such as filing, booking meetings, and managing postal dispatches.

COURSE DELIVERY:

This course is offered in a blended format, the first night takes place on site in Cork College of FET, Bishopstown Campus, the rest of the classes are delivered remotely using live online classes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants apply online on www.fetchcourses.ie 

CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English.

Those from outside the EEA or Common Travel Area must provide evidence ot Stamp Four status to undertake this course.

This course is fully funded for those in employment, under Skills to Advance.
