  • Special Purpose QQI Level 5 in Sustainable Supply Chain Procurement.

INTRODUCTION:

Consumers are increasingly focused on Sustainability and want to know where the products they purchase come from and how they are made, while companies want to be seen as leaders in sustainable practices. Sustainable Supply Chain Procurement is a way for a business to establish its sustainability credentials with consumers and other external partners.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Main concepts of sustainable procurement and supply chains, in the context of current sustainability frameworks including the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Goals.
  • Irish policy requirements particularly relating to Green Public Procurement and the Circular Economy.
  • Risks and opportunities that current environmental and social factors pose to procurement and supply chains.
  • Potential opportunities for positive environmental and social impacts through sustainable procurement and supply chains.
  • Key governance practices required to implement sustainable procurement and supply chain management within an organisation.
  • Outline sustainable procurement plan suitable for the workplace.

COURSE DELIVERY:

This course is offered in a blended format, the first class takes place on site in Cork College of FET, Bishopstown Campus, the rest of the classes are delivered remotely using live online classes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants apply online on www.fetchcourses.ie 

CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English.

Those from outside the EEA or Common Travel Area must provide evidence ot Stamp Four status to undertake this course.
