COURSE CONTENT:
- Individual Employment Rights:
Evaluate theoretical concepts and models related to individual employment rights, covering areas such as discrimination, maternity leave, part-time work, and health and safety. - Contract of Employment:
Apply specialised skills to various employment scenarios, including terms and conditions, pay, termination, and duties. - Data Protection:
Formulate responses to the impact of Data Protection and Freedom of Information on managing employee information. - Equality and Harassment:
Evaluate the role of legislation and institutions in combating discrimination and promoting equality in the workplace. - Legal Redress:
Assess breaches of employment law and understand the legal procedures for redress through labour relations institutions and courts. - Collective Bargaining:
Demonstrate an understanding of collective bargaining and its implementation. - Grievance and Discipline:

COURSE DELIVERY:
This course is offered in a blended format, the first night takes place on site in Cork College of FET, Bishopstown Campus, the rest of the classes are delivered remotely using live online classes. The end of course examination takes place on site in Bishopstown Campus.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 6 courses for those whose first language is not English.
Those from outside the EEA or Common Travel Area must provide evidence of Stamp Four status to undertake this course.
