ACCREDITATION:

• QQI Level 3 Component Certificate in Restaurant Skills (3N0577).

INTRODUCTION:

Our Restaurant Skills programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to work as front of house in a professional restaurant. This course runs in our Westside Centre for new entrants to the hospitality industry, and can also be provided as a bespoke course to upskill and reskill existing staff in partnership with hospitality employers.

COURSE CONTENT:

• Food Safety and Legislation
• Principles of hospitality
• Routine opening , operating and closing duties
• Preparing and decorating of tables and rooms
• Beverage preparation and serving

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be over 16 years of age.

Applicants should have achieved the Junior Certificate, or have relevant work and/or life experience appropriate to this programme.

Applicants should have a good standard of English.

The ideal candidate is outgoing and interested in hospitality sector and is customer focused.

Those from outside the EEA or Common Travel Area must provide evidence of Stamp Four status to undertake this course.
